College requires more self-motivation, time management, and studying than high school, so be sure to put in as much effort as you can!

A tip for incoming freshmen is to really put in more effort towards your studies than you did in high school. It doesn’t really matter if you are coming in as a straight A student because expectations are different in college; everything moves much faster and with less hand-holding.
I learned this the hard way during my first year.
Even though I am someone who puts effort into my work, I have bad habits such as poor time management and I despise studying (since it was never really crucial for me to study so much in high school). These bad habits brought both my grades and I down.
College is a different experience so don’t expect it to be like high school academically.
