Don’t be deterred from college if you’re having trouble making friends as a commuter – join orgs and talk to those in your classes!

The most essential advice I can give to incoming freshmen commuter students is to not give up for anything.
College can be very lonely, at least is has been for me. I’m by myself on all my long days because it’s really hard to make friends when you’re a commuter, especially if you’re not in any clubs and you’re always studying. I didn’t get to join any clubs this semester because the ones that interested me were all during my classes, therefore I was always alone at school.
I say don’t give up because there’s so many people in college that you’re bound to make friends sooner or later.
