A recently opened center has been opened to provide a welcoming center for Latinx community members at SDSU. The Latinx Resource Center is located at the Chicana and Chicano Collections section of the SDSU Library. It is said that “services will include a culturally-based retention program with peer-mentors trained to assist with emotional, social, and academic engagement of Latinx students.”

It offers academic support while also providing  that sense of community by being surrounded with people that are similar to yourself. It’s a great way to get connected to people you can relate and share experiences. So if you’re interested in checking this out go to the library and check it out!
