If you read the email sent out last week about changing your grading option and also having a flexible withdrawal option up to May 7. I will be providing some more information on the process to change your grading option to credit/ no credit and also how to withdraw from a course.

For changing your grading option, it is recommended to seek consultation from academic advisers and financial aid advising to ensure that there are no penalties in the future for having a credit/no credit mark on your transcript from said class. You can seek an academic adviser through clicking on this link. You also have the option of seeing Justin Villañor, our Compact Scholars Academic Adviser, here is the link to see Justin. To seek out a financial aid officer you can click here, it should direct you to the financial aid office and you can set an appointment. Additionally, you would need to fill out the Petition for Special Consideration Late Schedule Adjustment. Due to our current situation, faculty signatures, personal statement, supporting documentation  and the $20.00 fee will not be needed and will be waived. Petitions must be submitted by May 1,2020 (7:59pm) to the Registrar’s Office through email at registrar@sdsu.edu

Students who are looking to withdraw from a course would need to also submit the Petition for Special Consideration Late Schedule Adjustment. In addition, faculty signatures, personal statements, supporting documentation and the $20.00 fee will not be needed and will be waived. Petitions for withdrawal must be submitted by May 7, 2020 to the Registrar’s Office through email at registrar@sdsu.edu. This will also not negatively affect students’ financial aid  status.

I highly recommend reading over the email that SDSU President Adela de la Torre sent out on Monday April 20, 2020. I briefly covered the general details pertaining to credit/ no credit and withdrawal. If you have any more questions, I suggest asking an academic adviser with the links above. I hope that this weeks information was helpful, as always have a great week and stay safe.
